Job summary

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council is seeking dedicated individuals to drive and supervise refuse and recycling collection vehicles, delivering a timely, high quality service. You must hold a valid LGV Cat C licence and Driver CPC, with training provided for ongoing CPC refreshers.

You will work outdoors with a friendly team, carrying out daily vehicle checks, adhering to COSHH and safety procedures, and supporting the crew to meet schedules. 25 days leave, pension and gym subsidies are included.

Qualifications

• Must possess LGV licence category C and Driver CPC qualification.
• Experience driving up to 26 tonnes and supervising a crew.
• Ability to work early mornings and bank holidays; communicate with the public.

Responsibilities

• Drive and supervise a refuse/recycling vehicle up to 26 tonnes.
• Undertake daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure safety of crew and residents and complete tasks to timetable.
• Assist with emptying bins as required and support the crew.
