Job summary

Currys Group in Cumbernauld is offering a 10-month LGV Driver Apprentice programme designed for individuals with little or no experience who want to become qualified commercial drivers. You will train hands-on, attend masterclasses, and learn online to achieve the 7.5T licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card while delivering products and building exceptional customer service.

Shift Pattern - 45 hours per week, working 5 days over 8 days

Role overview:

Our 10-month apprenticeship is designed for those with little or no experience but are looking to build a career as a Driver. You'll receive hands-on training, expert-led masterclasses, and online learning to help you:

• Achieve your C1 (7.5T) licence
• Gain your CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Earn the Urban Driver Level 2 qualification
• Build first-class customer service skills

What you'll be doing once qualified:

• Delivering products through a multi-drop driving role
• Lifting and installing a variety of items for our customers
• Making sure every delivery is accurate and on time
• Creating positive, lasting impressions with every customer interaction

What we're looking for:

• A full Class B UK/EA driving licence held for at least 6 months, with no more than 6 penalty points
• You must be aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment
• You must have lived in the UK for the last 3 years (apprenticeship funding requirement)
• A genuine interest in developing a career as a Driver
• The ability to handle heavy stock safely and confidently
