Job summary

DPD UK is seeking an LGV Coordinator to join the Traffic office, overseeing transport drivers in line with legal and operational requirements. The role focuses on ensuring compliance and efficient shift patterns from 18:00 to 02:30, five days out of seven, including weekends, at Oldbury.

You will work with agency drivers and employed drivers, perform license checks, support audits, and assist with administration while upholding our values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and

Qualifications

• Intermediate Google Workspace knowledge (GMail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.).
• Knowledge of Microlise and C3 Yard management systems desirable.
• CPC management would be preferred but it will be trained.

Responsibilities

• Complete license checks for employed and agency drivers.
• Be the point of contact with drivers regarding compliance issues.
• Coach drivers on compliance and performance.
• Complete infringements and ensure data is captured in real time.
• Liaise with agencies on agency driver compliance failures.
• Complete random gate checks and address issues.
• Complete accident forms and respond to driver queries.
• Complete near miss reports and yard checks.
• Raise defects and manage last download reports.
• Manage vehicle downloads and agency driver inductions.
• Assist with alcohol and eyesight tests when required.
• Support Microlise functionality issues and investigations.

Purpose of Position

As a LGV Coordinator you will be part of the Traffic office team and are responsible for management of the Transport drivers inline with legal, legislative and operational requirements.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility

• Completion of license checks for employed and agency drivers
• To be point of contact and deal directly with both employed drivers and agency Drivers regarding any compliance issues
• To coach drivers in relation to any failures
• Completing infringements with drivers and ensuring all supporting data is present, and captured in a real time manner
• Liaising with agencies in regards to agency driver compliance failures
• Completing random Gate Checks and dealing appropriately with any issues that may arise.
• Completing Accident forms with drivers and responding to any queries in relation to accidents
• Completing Near Miss reports when required
• Completing Yards checks
• Raising defects
• Completing the Last Download report
• Vehicle Downloads
• Being accountable for Agency Driver Inductions
• Completing Alcohol and eyesight tests for Drivers when required
• Dealing with and addressing appropriately Microlise functionality issues
• Assisting with Compliance investigations for disciplinaries and grievances

• Any ad hoc Transport administrative duties

• Assisting the Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers with any further administration duties

Qualifications

• Intermediate Google Workspace knowledge: GMail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.
• Knowledge of Microlise and C3 Yard management systems desired
• Management of CPC would be preferred however it will be trained.
