Job summary

Booker is seeking a committed LGV Class 1 driver to join the transport team in the UK. You will move and park vehicles safely in the yard, load and unload as required, and ensure high safety and food safety standards are maintained. Occasional offsite travel may be required for vehicle collection and trunking support.

Qualifications

• Essential LGV Class 1 licence and full CPC training.
• Counterbalance forklift licence required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for offsite collection of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles safely around yard, loading bays and depots.
• Ensure vehicle defects are reported and repairs are coordinated.
• Keep yard and wash areas clean and tidy and in good order.
• Adhere to food safety/chill chain standards and regulate fridge temps as needed.
• Load vehicles correctly and manage returns and backhauls.
• Record any health and safety issues and follow procedures.
• Support trunking operations and travel to offsite locations as required.
