Job summary

The Best Connection Group is seeking an experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join DHL International at Cross Green, Leeds, for the busy seasonal period from November through to Christmas.

You will drive a Class 1 vehicle, perform vehicle checks, keep accurate POD records, and deliver excellent customer service at delivery points. Overtime is paid after 45 hours, with weekly pay and pension provision.

Qualifications

• Pass a driving assessment (no minimum years of experience required).
• Criminal record check paid for by us.
• Two-year work history with gap references for any gaps over 28 days.
• Provide a two-year address history.
• Valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card).
• UK Driving Licence, Category CE; Drivers CPC; Digital tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle to and from Slough.
• Perform pre/post vehicle checks and report issues.
• Maintain accurate records and proof of delivery or collection.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery and collection points.

• Performing pre/post vehicle checks and reporting any problems
• Maintaining accurate records and proof of delivery or collection
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery and collection points

Requirements:

As we work at an airport regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority, all applicants must:

• Pass a driving assessment (no minimum years of experience needed)
• Complete a criminal record check (paid for by us)
• Have a 2-year work history that can be checked (gaps over 28 days need a gap reference)
• Provide a 2-year address history
• Have valid photo ID (passport, driving licence or ID card)
