Job summary

Galt Transport Ltd. in Glasgow is seeking an LGV Class 1 Driver to support our long-standing customer, BAE, with local deliveries and movements of equipment across the Glasgow area. You will operate a dedicated vehicle, follow a fixed day shift, and return home each evening.

Reporting to the Scotstoun Supervisor, you will perform scheduled runs, communicate clearly with your supervisor, and ensure safety and efficiency on every shift. ADR qualifications would be beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV (C+E) licence required.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card required.
• Flatbed experience preferred; ADR qualifications would be an advantage.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; professional, dependable approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled local deliveries and collections within Glasgow.
• Complete runs between Govan and Scotstoun and other site movements.
• Maintain safe driving practices and report delays promptly.

Looking for a dependable driving role with regular weekday hours and local routes?

Galt Transport is recruiting an LGV Class 1 Driver based at our customer’s site in Scotstoun, supporting our long-standing customer, BAE. With a consistent day shift and collections and deliveries across the Glasgow area, this role offers a predictable working week and home time every evening for someone with flatbed experience.

The role

Reporting to the Scotstoun Supervisor, you will carry out scheduled runs between Govan and Scotstoun, daily deliveries to Scottish Galvanisers, and other movements of equipment and materials between sites.

You’ll work safely and efficiently, communicate clearly with your supervisor and flag any delays or issues promptly.

• A valid LGV (C+E) licence
• General haulage experience, specifically flatbed experienceDriver CPC and digital tachograph card
• A professional, presentable and dependable approach
