Job summary

Biffa Waste Services in Stamp End Depot is looking for an LGV Driver Loader to join our outdoor team. You will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collect and empty bins from householders, and assist with street cleansing tasks.

Working Monday to Friday, 06:15 to 15:00 (40 hours), with overtime on weekends. A valid LGV/HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC are required, along with safe driving and daily vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles and collect/empty bins from householders.

Job description

LGV Driver Loader

Location: Stamp End Depot

Days of work: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Start and finish times: 06.15 to 15.00 (We work bank holidays, double time and a day in lieu or treble)

Pay: £15.06p/h

(Overtime available on weekends)

No more than 6 points

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins and boxes from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking..
