Engineering Degree Apprentice and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies, alongside gaining a
Higher Apprenticeship Level 6 – Engineering Manufacture Technician qualification (degree).We are looking for apprentices who want to experience a real working environment, and who want to take advantage of being paid to earn a structured and approved qualification whilst they do it.
Your role:You will rotate through several different engineering departments such as:
- Maintenance: You will perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
- Operations Engineering: You will assist in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Engineering: You will support project planning and execution, of the new manufacturing processes, developing new equipment to fit future business needs.
- Design Transfer Engineering: You will facilitate the transfer of new product designs from development to manufacturing, ensuring that all design specifications are met and that production processes are established.
- Validation: You will participate in the validation of equipment, processes, and systems to ensure they meet regulatory and quality standards. This includes developing validation protocols, executing validation activities, and documenting results.
- Automation & Digitalization: You will utilize digital tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate (Power Platforms) and Simulation tools like Plant Simulation to analyze data, optimize processes, and support decision-making.
During this
5 to 6 Year apprenticeship, you will also complete learning modules and projects, and work towards achieving a
BEng Engineering Degree, building a portfolio of work to support your final end point assessment whilst guided by your line manager and our apprenticeship manager.

- Adaptability: You will need to be flexible and able to quickly adapt to new challenges and changing environments.
- Strong Communication Skills: You will need to be able to clearly and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to Learning: You must be eager to learn and continuously improve your skills and knowledge in the field of engineering.
Qualifications Required:- 5 GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above, including Mathematics, English and a Science, Technology or Engineering related subject
- A Levels at grade C or above in both a Mathematical based subject and a Science, Technology, Engineering or additional Mathematics related subject or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC at Level 3.
