Job Opportunity: Level 6 Signalling Technician Project Engineering Degree Apprentice

Duration: 60 months

Starting Salary: £23,529 (subject to 2025 review)

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm

Location: Bedford

Role Overview:

This apprenticeship is a structured training program developed by industry professionals within Amey Rail, Signalling and Systems Group. It combines hands-on practical training with experienced engineers to develop skills in signalling construction, testing, management, and commercial activities.

  • Assist Installation team leaders
  • Assist Testing Engineers
  • Assist Signalling Project Engineers
  • Assist Project Managers
  • Assist Commercial Managers

Candidate Requirements:
Qualifications:
  • 3 A-Levels (A*-C) including Mathematics and Physical Science, or Level 3 Apprenticeship as an Engineering Technician
  • Willing to complete necessary training for professional reviews
Skills:
  • Full driving license or aiming to obtain it
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong technical skills and team working ability
  • Good communication skills for internal and external discussions
