Job summary

Blackshaw Lane Primary & Nursery School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality education, lead small group interventions and contribute to pupil development and wellbeing.

This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils’ learning in class, small groups, and one-to-one settings
• Assist in planning and delivering tailored interventions
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Prepare resources and support classroom activities
• Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Foster inclusive practices and support pupils with SEND
• Supervise pupils during break times and school trips
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support pupil development
