Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support learners at a primary school in Gateshead from September. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, preparing activities, and helping pupils with diverse needs to access lessons.

Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 qualification in Education or a related field, have experience with children, and be committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 qualification in Education, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare or a related discipline.
• Experience working with children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support learning alongside the class teacher.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support.
• Assist with targeted interventions.
• Support pupils across the primary age range.
• Help children overcome barriers to learning.
• Support pupils with SEND where appropriate.
• Prepare classroom resources and activities.
• Observe pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
