Job summary

Academics is helping a Canterbury school recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time role with an immediate start. The successful candidate will support pupils in KS1 and KS2, assisting teachers and helping children engage with activities.

Ideal applicants will have Level 3 TA qualification, school experience, safeguarding awareness, DBS clearance or willingness to obtain, and be able to manage challenging behaviour while building positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 Teaching Assistant standard
• Experience in a school or education setting
• Experience working with SEN pupils preferred
• Confident dealing with challenging behaviour and able to remain calm under pressure
• Familiar with safeguarding procedures, policies and reporting responsibilities
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils while maintaining clear boundaries
• Able to support different year groups and adapt to their needs
• DBS cleared or willing to complete a new DBS check

Responsibilities

• Work with children in both KS1 and KS2, providing classroom support
• Help pupils get the most out of their school day
