Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Safeguarding checks will be completed as part of the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide a safe and healthy environment for pupils.
• Supervise and assist individual and small groups of pupils in lessons.
• Help teachers prepare lesson materials and equipment, get the classroom ready for lessons and clear away after.
• Observe, record and report pupils progress to teachers.
• Help teachers manage class behaviour.
• Supervise group activities, including outings and sports events.
• Look after children who are upset or unwell.
