You will support pupils under the guidance of teaching staff, supervise small groups, prepare materials, monitor progress and help manage classroom behaviour.

Responsibilities

• To work under the guidance of teaching staff to provide a safe and healthy environment for pupils.
• Supervise and assist individual and small groups of pupils in lessons.
• Help teachers prepare lesson materials and equipment, get the classroom ready for lessons and clear away after.
• Observe, record and report pupils progress to teachers.
• Help teachers manage class behaviour.
• Supervise group activities, including outings and sports events.
• Look after children who are upset or unwell.
