Job summary
The Harmony Trust in Oldham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. Required: NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent, Literacy/Numeracy Level 2, and successful completion (or plan to complete) the DfE induction programme.
Candidates should be aware of children with special needs and have experience with learning resources. Experience caring for children of relevant ages (including 2-year-olds) and strong communication with parents are essential.
Qualifications
- NVQ 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification/experience
- Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2
- Completion/plan to complete the induction programme
- Awareness of requirements for children with special needs
- Experience with learning resources and preparation
- Experience caring for children of relevant ages (incl. 2-year-olds)
- Good communication with parents and carers
- Basic understanding of a child’s development and learning
