Bearwood Primary School in Smethwick is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Learning Support Practitioner) to join our dedicated team. The role involves supporting teachers, working with individuals and small groups, and providing tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs to help them reach their potential.

You will contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment, prepare learning resources, and work with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupils'

Formación

• NVQ 3 in childcare or equivalent required.
• Significant experience in a primary school setting.

We have an exciting opportunity for an excellent teaching assistant (learning support practitioner) to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities.
• Working with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and develop key skills.
• Providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs, adapting activities where appropriate.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence
• Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and hold the relevant qualification i.e. NVQ 3 in childcare or equivalent. You must also have significant experience working in a primary school.
