Job summary

The Nobel School in Stevenage is offering a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You will support teachers and students in creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment.

The apprenticeship includes online training, monthly remote tutorials, and a guaranteed potential for full-time employment on completion. Salary starts at £8 per hour with a pay increase after one year; hours are 30 per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with resource preparation and classroom management.
• Deliver planned learning sessions under SENDCo guidance.
• Support students in mainstream lessons, small groups, and interventions.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff.
• Supervise whole classes or small groups during wet play.
• Support emotional well-being of students individually and in groups.
• Help run lunchtime activities to foster a positive social environment.
• Assist SEND team with spaces like The Bridge, study sessions, trips and exam support.
• Provide exam access support after training.
• Participate in training sessions to support vulnerable pupils.
• Supervise morning literacy sessions and after-school homework clubs.
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing professional training.
• Operate printers and laminators to support daily operations.
