Job summary

The Nobel School in Stevenage is offering a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You will support teachers, help create an engaging learning environment, and work across mainstream lessons, small groups, and targeted interventions.

The apprenticeship includes online training, monthly remote tutorials, and a pathway to a Level 3 TA qualification. There is a salary of £8 per hour, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a pay increase after one year for 19+ year olds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with resources and classroom management.
• Deliver planned learning sessions under SENDCo guidance.
• Support students in mainstream lessons, small groups, and interventions.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Supervise classes or groups during specific times as needed.
• Support pupils’ wellbeing and run lunchtime activities.
• Assist SEND team duties, including spaces like The Bridge and trips.
• Provide exam access support after training to all students.
