Job summary

Academics is working with a welcoming primary school in Newham to recruit a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant for October 2026. The role is full-time, term-time, 8:30am-3:30pm, and located in Newham, East London.

You will support children's learning and development in a Nursery setting, assist the class teacher, and provide SEN support within a nurturing environment. Salary is paid per day and will reflect experience and school pay policy.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in EYFS, Childcare or Teaching Assistant studies.
• Experience in Early Years, preferably Nursery or primary.
• Experience supporting children with SEN using differentiated strategies.

Academics is proud to be working with a fantastic primary school in Newham, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from October 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced EYFS practitioner to support children's learning and development within a nurturing Nursery environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team, providing high-quality support to pupils, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Role Details

• Start Date: ASAP - July 2026
• Location: Newham, East London
• Contract: Full-time, term-time
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Pay: 95 per day, dependent on experience

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, Teaching Assistant studies, or a related field.
• Have proven experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally within a Nursery or primary school environment.
• Have experience supporting children with SEN, including adapting activities, using differentiated strategies, and providing personalised support.
• Have a strong understanding of EYFS principles and a genuine passion for supporting children's early development.
• Be caring, patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing in their approach.
• Be confident working as part of a team and able to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
• Be committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils.
