Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire, England for a full-time role. You will support learning, adapt activities for diverse needs, and contribute to a positive school environment with safeguarding at the forefront.

The role involves working as part of a team to support pupils and assist with lesson delivery, monitoring progress and maintaining strong communication with staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Enhanced DBS clearance required or willingness to obtain

About the Role

Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school, where you will play an important role in supporting pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to pupils to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Support pupils across a range of subjects and learning activities.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN, where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources and general teaching activities.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding development and learning.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
• Work as part of a team to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a school or educational setting is desirable.
• A caring, patient and supportive approach to working with pupils.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
