Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and autism across Manchester schools from November 2026 onwards. The role focuses on consistent routines, individualised support and building positive relationships to help children access education.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• UK-based school experience within the last two years.
• Practical experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Supporting children with autism and communication difficulties.
• Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Encouraging communication, engagement and independence.
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Working alongside teachers and SENCOs.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
