Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is recruiting a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join specialist provisions and mainstream bases in South Shields. You will support pupils with ASC, MLD, SLD and speech and language needs, with a focus on delivering 1:1 and small group support.

The role is full-time, with a September start, Monday to Friday, term-time only and potential for permanent progression. Prior SEND experience is desirable and collaboration with teachers and therapists is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification required.
• Experience with SEND is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support.
• Supporting EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
• Delivering interventions and structured activities.
• Supporting communication and emotional regulation.
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and SENCOs.
• Helping pupils develop independence and confidence.
