Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learners in a SEND environment in Northumberland and Newcastle. September start, long-term role with flexible working hours and a daily rate of £100 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong 1:1 and small group intervention skills, experience with EHCPs, and a patient, nurturing approach to help children improve communication and social development.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a SEND classroom.
• Experience implementing behaviour support strategies.
• Experience providing 1:1 and small group intervention support.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist 1:1 and small group learning sessions.
• Support development of communication and social skills.
• Follow EHCPs and adapt support to individual needs.
