Here at Elmwood Nursery, we are seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to provide quality day care services and assist in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. You will promote a stimulating environment of play, encouraging and supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
You will establish and maintain good relationships with parents, acknowledging them as primary carers, and maintain objective, accurate, and up-to-date records that identify children’s individual needs, abilities, and progress, using these for future planning.
As our Nursery Practitioner, we require you to have at least 3 years of experience working in a Nursery or Pre-school setting as a qualified practitioner, hold a NNEB or NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education, and demonstrate experience caring for children from 3 months to 5 years in a group setting.
You should have knowledge of the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of children aged 3 months to 5 years, respect individual needs including multicultural awareness, hold a Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy, and possess good communication skills. Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team is essential.
The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases based on annual cost of living reviews.
