Job summary

Suscom Industries in Wigan offers a Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3). You will join a small team in a busy, hands-on environment, learning to manufacture, inspect and package products while supporting daily production processes and maintaining safety standards.

The 22-month programme includes online, in-person and hands-on training with a dedicated workplace mentor. Starting salary is £25,000 with CPD opportunities and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and not in full-time education.
• Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
• Have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacture and packaging of office furniture components in an injection moulding environment.
• Inspect finished components through visual and physical checks to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Carry out flash trimming to remove excess material from products where required.
• Complete hourly weight checks and record results.
• Package finished products according to the required specifications and standards.
• Learn to identify basic machine errors and report them to a supervisor.
• Use equipment such as pallet trucks, milling machines and pillar drills when required.
• Monitor and record scrap materials and report any production or quality issues to supervisors.
• Maintain clean, tidy and organised work areas to support efficient production.
• Follow company procedures, health and safety requirements and correct use of PPE.
