Job summary

Safapac in Peterborough is recruiting for a Level 3 Science Apprenticeship: Process Industries Manufacturing Technician (Chemical). Based in Cambridgeshire, starting salary around £28k, with 33 days leave and a 37.5 hour week.

You will learn to operate and maintain large scale chemical processes, perform quality checks, follow GMP, and work safely with hazardous materials. The 22-month blended training includes online, in-person, and on-site mentoring.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
• Not be in full-time education.

Responsibilities

• Carry out manufacturing activities on the production floor as directed by supervisors.
• Support the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment under supervision.
• Complete shift handovers, clearly communicating progress, issues and priorities.
• Perform in-process quality checks and record results using appropriate systems.
• Ensure GMP standards are followed and materials are recorded accurately.
