Job summary

Oakmeadow CE Primary and Nursery School in Shrewsbury invites applications for a Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. You will support children aged 3 to 5, helping them learn through Play and enabling independent learning in a nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Level 3 TA or EY qualification, have EYFS knowledge and strong communication and teamwork skills. 27.5 hours per week, term time only, fixed-term until 23 July 2027.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised Level 3 TA or EY qualification suitable for EYFS staff:child ratios.
• Experience working with children aged 3 to 5 years.
• Understands EYFS framework and child development.
• Capable of supporting learning through play and delivering small group and 1:1 interventions.

Responsibilities

• Support learning through play and deliver small group and one-to-one interventions.
• Assist in creating engaging learning experiences for 3- to 5-year-olds across the EYFS.
• Collaborate with the Early Years team to support children's development and wellbeing.
