Job summary

Shropshire Council’s Oakmeadow CE Primary and Nursery School in Bayston Hill is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team. You will support 3- to 5-year-olds, delivering play-based learning and targeted interventions.

We require a Level 3 TA or EYFS qualification, experience with 3–5s, and a solid EYFS understanding. This is term-time, 27.5 hours per week, fixed-term until 23 July 2027 with NJC Grade 6 SCP 7–11 pay.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 Teaching Assistant or EYFS qualification.
• Experience with children aged 3–5 years.
• Good understanding of EYFS framework and child development.

Responsibilities

• Support learning through play and small group / 1:1 interventions.
• Assist with transitions and daily routines in the Nursery.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote best outcomes for children.
• Communicate effectively with families and team members.
