Job summary

Marylebone Village Nursery in Central London is recruiting Level 3 Nursery Practitioners and Room Leaders to join the founding team. The role focuses on creating a safe, stimulating environment and delivering high-quality early years education.

Marylebone Village Nursery is a newly established, independent boutique nursery situated on the charming high street in the heart of Marylebone, London.

With a capacity of just 29 children, we are creating a nurturing, inspiring and personalised learning environment where children can develop confidence, curiosity and independence.

We are currently recruiting Level 3 Nursery Practitioners and experienced Room Leaders to join our founding team!

About the Role:

As a Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader, you will play an important role in creating a safe, stimulating and enriching environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Supporting children's individual development, interests and needs.
• Encouraging independence through Montessori-inspired learning.
• Supporting outdoor learning and Forest School experiences.
• Building positive, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.
• Completing observations, assessments and developmental records.
• Working collaboratively to create an inspiring and inclusive nursery environment.

For Room Leader applicants, additional responsibilities will include supporting and guiding practitioners, overseeing the daily organisation of the room and ensuring consistently high standards of care, education and practice.

What We're Looking For

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (essential).
• A sound understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding responsibilities.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• A warm, caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
• The ability to use initiative and contribute creative ideas.
• Previous leadership experience for Room Leader applicants.
• An interest in Montessori education and Forest School learning is desirable.
