Job summary

Willingcare is seeking a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a warm, inclusive early years setting in Guildford. The role is a full-time, 40-hour week with a starting salary from £29,000 and a strong focus on care, creativity and child development.

You will work as part of a collaborative team, delivering high-quality care and education in line with EYFS, creating a safe, stimulating environment for children to explore and grow.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
• Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
• Clear understanding of the EYFS and child development.
• Warm, caring nature with strong communication and teamworking skills.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive environment for children and families.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, responsive care and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS.
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities supporting development.
• Build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Observe, assess, and track children’s progress and needs.
• Support daily routines, mealtimes, personal care, rest, and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised learning environment.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies.
