Job summary

Supply Desk in the Watford area is seeking a caring Level 3 EYFS Practitioner to join a friendly early years team. This full-time role offers a supportive environment where you help children learn, develop, and thrive in a safe setting.

You will plan and deliver EYFS activities, observe progress, maintain safeguarding standards, and collaborate with staff and parents. Salary £22,000–£29,000 per year, dependent on experience, with ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in nursery or early years setting desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, caring, and proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing through play and purposeful activities
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and development
• Support individual children’s needs and contribute to their learning journeys
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage children’s confidence, independence, and social skills
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
• Assist with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
• Work effectively as part of the nursery team to provide consistently high standards of care and education
