Job summary

Caring Kindergartens Ltd seeks dedicated staff to join a caring nursery team in Milton Keynes. You will work as a key worker, observing and recording progress, planning diverse play activities, and supporting each child’s development within the EYFS framework.

The role requires a Level 3 childcare qualification, strong English communication, safeguarding awareness and DBS clearance. We offer supportive training and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification recognised by the Department for Education.
• Good understanding of the EYFS.
• Excellent understanding of the English language, spoken and written.
• Clear DBS check.
• Previous childcare experience in an early year setting.
• Ability to manage a group of key children.
• Good communication with both adult and children.
• Commitment to reflective practice and self-development.

Responsibilities

• Observe, record and assess progress of a group of children as key worker, with photographic evidence.
• Develop high quality interactions to extend thinking and learning.
• Plan, prepare and deliver play experiences supporting physical, intellectual and emotional development.
• Ensure activities draw from next steps, observations and interests within EYFS.
• Support each child in developing self-esteem, confidence and competence.
• Maintain a positive model of behaviour with children and families.
• Attend training to stay updated on policy and practice.
• Uphold hygiene standards as per Caring Kindergartens policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a proactive nursery team.
