Job summary

Caring Kindergartens is seeking individuals to join our nursery team who will work with children as part of a supportive group, planning play and learning in line with EYFS. A Level 3 qualification and a commitment to ongoing professional development are required.

You will observe and assess progress, deliver stimulating activities, and work closely with colleagues to create a warm, safe environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach milestones.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification (recognised by the Department for Education).
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding practices.
• DBS check cleared.
• Ability to manage a group of key children and support learning.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team as a key worker for a group of children, observe, record and assess progress with photographic evidence.
• Develop high-quality interactions to extend children’s thinking and learning.
• Plan, prepare and deliver a wide range of play experiences promoting physical, intellectual and emotional development.
• Ensure activities are aligned with each child’s next steps, observations and interests under EYFS.
• Support each child in developing self-esteem, confidence and feelings of competence.
• Provide a positive model of behaviour and foster a friendly, caring environment.
• maintain up-to-date knowledge of current issues and participate in regular training.
• Keep hygiene standards in line with Caring Kindergartens policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive nursery environment.
