Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner for our Stowmarket Day Nursery. You will create a warm, nurturing environment and deliver EYFS-aligned activities to help children thrive.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS.
• Experience working with children in EYFS settings is desirable.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and satisfactory background checks.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing environment where children thrive.

• Build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Pay:£13.21 per hour /£27,476 per Annum(40 hours per week).
Working Hours:Monday to Friday - 40 Hours per week

About our Nursery

Our Stowmarket Nursery is conveniently located in the centre of Stowmarket within Union Street West car park, just off Gipping Way Road, a community nursery where our children flourish. Stowmarket children start their journey here at our Stowmarket Day Nursery and then progress to our pre-school, which is on the same site. Our setting is perfectly sized so that children are in small groups and can develop at their own pace. The nursery has two rooms with an inside garden and plenty of opportunity to play outside and explore the world around them in the town on our trips out.

What Your Role Involves

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
• Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others
