Job summary

GLF Schools is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join Warren Mead Schools in Banstead on a fixed term contract. The role involves delivering high-quality care and education, planning engaging activities, and working closely with colleagues, parents and carers to support each child's development.

You will support learning in a nurturing environment, with 35 hours per week (term-time 39 weeks), and be part of a wider GLF Schools community across 43 academies.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification required; GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and child development; safeguarding commitment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while safeguarding- aware.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development with planned activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to enable each child’s potential.
• Ensure safeguarding and health and safety in a nursery setting.
• Contribute to a nurturing, child-centered environment within the school cluster.

What we are looking for

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 (or above) qualification in childcare
• Achieved GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development
• Demonstrates a clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Confident in implementing safeguarding procedures and maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Knowledge of keyworker systems, health and safety in a nursery setting, and equal opportunities
• Effective communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

About Warren Mead Schools

Our school sits within a newly established cluster of Primary schools, overseen by a Regional Director. The Details

Start Date: As soon as possible

FTE Salary: £25,877

Pro Rata Salary: £21,643.44

Pay Range: GLF Associate Grade 3.1

Hours: 35 hrs per week Monday - Friday 8.00am - 15.30pm (Term time 39 weeks)
