Job summary

Wednesbury Oak Academy is seeking a Learning Support Practitioner (Level 3) on a fixed term contract to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. The role focuses on inclusion, positive relationships and targeted interventions within a two-form entry primary school in Tipton.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification, experience in primary settings, and a commitment to safeguarding. DBS checks and recruitment safeguarding processes apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience of working in a primary school setting across KS1 and KS2.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and equality of opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Support the care, welfare and inclusion of pupils.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning.
• Plan and deliver targeted intervention programmes to individuals and groups.
• Assist pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their potential.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
