Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an immediate/ongoing Level 3 Early Years Educator for Nursery & Reception in Enfield, Outer London. Full-time or part-time. Salary £22,000 – £26,000 (pro rata). Start date: Immediate / Ongoing.

You will plan and deliver play-based learning in line with EYFS, observe and assess using Development Matters, support children with SEND and EAL, and liaise with parents to track progress. The role offers supportive colleagues and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification essential.
• Solid hands-on experience in an EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters.
• Confident in planning and delivering play-based, child-led learning across seven areas.
• Skilled in early years observation and assessment, including learning journeys and progress tracking.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL in an early years context.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS statutory framework, supporting children’s development across all seven areas of learning.
• Take a lead role within the room, working with other practitioners and the class teacher to create a safe, nurturing, language-rich environment where every child can thrive.
• Carry out observations and assessments using Development Matters, contribute to children’s learning journeys, liaise with parents and carers, and support the identification and inclusion of children with SEND and EAL under the guidance of the SENCO.
