Job summary

Academics is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner for supply roles in Stafford, Rugeley and Penkridge. You will support local nurseries and primary schools with high-quality care and EYFS education from day one.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, GCSE English and Maths at 4/C, and relevant childcare experience. Paediatric First Aid is desirable and DBS checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or Functional Skills Level 2).
• Previous experience in a childcare environment.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Paediatric First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner - Immediate Start | Stafford (Centre)

We are seeking an exceptional Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to support local private nurseries and primary schools in Stafford, Rugeley and Penkridge. The role requires a dedicated individual who is committed to providing the best care and education to every child you work with. Applicants must have a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner's qualification and experience in a childcare environment, and be ready to hit the ground running from day one.

As a temporary role through a supply agency, you will step into busy environments where your expertise and knowledge will be valued. The schools and nurseries offer ample support and flexibility that suits your commitments and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding care and early years education in line with the EYFS framework and standards.
• Confidently manage routines, activities and transitions throughout the day.
• Build strong, supportive and professional relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment at all times.
• Demonstrate self‑initiative when working within education settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above / Functional Skills Level 2 minimum).
• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to work towards it).

Pay £14.24 – £15 per hour, holiday pay is included in the day rate. The hourly rate may be negotiated based on the right candidate and their level of experience.
