Job summary

St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join Woodfield Primary School in Wolverhampton. Fixed term contract for 30 hours per week until 31st August 2027, starting January 2027. Grade 3 / Spine Point 5-6 with a salary between £26,428 and £26,846 FTE, actual salary £18,431–£18,723.

The successful candidate will support pupils with diverse needs, lead small-group interventions, and uphold safeguarding and inclusion across the school community.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in raising standards within classrooms.
• Experience with children including those with SEN and EHCPs.
• Ability to lead and inspire pupils in class or small groups.
• Experience of leading interventions to meet learning targets.

The Trustees are seeking to appoint a child-centred teaching assistant who has:

• proven experience of supporting the raising of standards in school within classrooms
• experience of working with children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities and the most able children, including experience of supporting children with EHCPs
• the ability to support, lead and inspire children working either in the classroom or within small, targeted groups
• experience of leading interventions to meet children’s individual learning targets
• high expectations of children and a commitment to raising standards
• proven experience of a range of positive behaviour management strategies
• excellent interpersonal skills

• assist with the implementation and review of individual support plans and targeted interventions.
• build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues, contributing to strong home-school partnerships.
• uphold safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection requirements, ensuring the welfare of all pupils.
• support educational visits, enrichment activities, lunchtimes and other aspects of school life as required.
