Canon Johnson CofE Primary School is recruiting a Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated staff team. The role is temporary, 32.5 hours per week during term time, and falls under the Forward As One CE Multi Academy Trust.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and talented SEND teaching assistant to join our dedicated staff team.

We require a teaching assistant who can provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities and support the child throughout all aspects of school life. Applicants must be committed to further enhancing the very high standards which already exist in the school and be patient and kind to support the child/ren in their transition.

The successful candidate will also be expected to make a valuable contribution to whole school development and to enriching the experiences of our pupils and will be fully supported by the school and the Trust.

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, as part of our recruitment process we will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates to identify any comment, image or other content that could cause reputational damage to the trust and/or give rise to a safeguarding concern.
