Job summary

Queen Margaret Academy in Gloucestershire is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. The role covers 24.25 hours per week, term time plus inset days, with flexibility discussed at interview.

You will support students with targeted interventions and collaborate with staff to promote learning, wellbeing and inclusion. The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and GCSEs, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• Holds or is working towards NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Willing to complete safeguarding, first aid and SEND-related development.

Responsibilities

• Support students across the classroom by applying strategies to access learning and maintain focus.
• Deliver planned activities and targeted interventions under the class teacher's guidance.
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and communicate with colleagues and parents/carers.
• Contribute to assessment and support inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
