Job summary

St Peter’s Church of England Primary School invites applications for a Teaching and Learning Assistant (Level 2). This fixed-term, part-time role (25 hours, term time) supports pupils in the classroom and contributes to a positive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a school, NVQ 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent, and GCSEs in Maths and English (A–C). An awareness of the school’s Christian ethos and good teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a school setting.
• Knowledge and experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage.
• Enthusiasm for working with, educating and caring for children.
• Must have NVQ 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent and GCSEs in Maths and English (A-C).

Responsibilities

• TA2 working 25 hours to support children in their learning within a class.
• Option to work an extra 5 hours welfare.
• Hours spread over 5 days between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm.
