Job summary

St Aidan’s Catholic Primary School in Knowsley seeks a Level 2 Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team. The post covers both roles, working to support pupils aged 4–11 and assist with lunchtime supervision and learning activities.

The fixed-term position runs until the end of the 26/27 academic year, with potential extension. Required NVQ2 in support learning, KS1/KS2 experience, and a proactive, caring approach to education.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• Experience of working in KS1 or KS2.
• Collaborative and positive teamwork with staff within school ethos.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning under the direction of class teachers.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN.
• Lead small group activities and assist in classroom management.
• Deliver creative lessons and foster pupil independence and social/emotional growth.
