Job summary

E-ACT Royton & Crompton Academy is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join during a maternity cover period. You will work under the direction of the class teacher, supporting learning across individuals, small groups and whole classes.

The role focuses on helping pupils achieve their potential academically, socially, and emotionally, with an inclusive ethos and safeguarding at its heart.

Qualifications

• GCSES English & Maths are required.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive educational practices.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning and development in the classroom.
• Deliver targeted interventions and support programmes.
• Assist teachers in preparing learning materials and classroom activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
