South Wigston High School, a vibrant 11-16 school on the outskirts of Leicester, is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join the SEND team. The role is 30 hours per week, 8:30-15:00, term time only plus 5 days, with a permanent contract and a start date as soon as possible.

Working pattern to be agreed with the line manager. The successful candidate will support learners in lessons, assist with progress reviews, and help maintain a positive learning environment within a supportive staff

Responsabilités

• Assist with the supervision and interaction of learners in lessons
• Assist in the assessment and review of learners’ progress and statement review meetings
• Support the teacher in the classroom and use strategies to manage learner behaviour
• Contribute to curriculum planning, evaluation and implementation, alongside and supported by the teacher
• Monitor learners’ achievement, objectives, general care, safety and welfare
