Job summary

Weeting Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support specific SEN pupils and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning within the school. You will work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies and monitor progress for individual pupils.

The role focuses on building positive relationships, adapting to each pupil's needs, and organising stimulating learning environments.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children and/or as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Principles and practices of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and the community.
  • High levels of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and play a key role in ensuring high quality teaching and learning for specific SEN children in the school.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and skills to support pupils' learning
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations

Pay, Hours and Contract:
  • Points 5-6 (FTE £25,583- £25,989 per annum)
  • £16,292 pro rata
  • 27.5 hrs per week, 38 weeks per year
  • Permanent
Qualifications and skills:
