Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support learning and progress in our schools. The role is 35 hours per week during term time, with responsibilities including adapting teaching resources, preparing class displays, and working with the SEND team to provide strong educational opportunities.

You will collaborate with the SENDCo, develop engaging activities, and contribute to safeguarding while benefiting from extensive professional development and a supportive working

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND would be beneficial.
• Outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team.
• Adaptable, take on board new ideas and think on their feet.
• An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.

This is a role with an opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and progress of our pupils, group support and teaching. You will be adapting teaching resources, thinking of new ways to learn, being fun and creative in your approach and adaptable to childrens needs. Our Teaching Assistants are highly valued in our school - you will work closely with our SENDCo and SEND team to provide our children with the best possible educational opportunities. An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays.
