Job summary

Trumpington Park Primary School in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Level Two Teaching Assistant to work with our SENDCo team and class teachers, providing high-quality support for pupils with a range of additional needs and delivering targeted interventions.

The role includes a Midday Supervisor contract, opportunities for professional development within Meridian Trust, and a supportive, friendly team environment with a strong focus on safeguarding, teamwork and pupil progress.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND including autism, ADHD, speech/language needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Adaptability and willingness to implement new ideas.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions to aid learning and progression.
• Support pupils inside and outside the classroom with developing independence.
• Collaborate with SENDCo team and class teachers.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at Trumpington Park Primary School. As a Level Two Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our SENDCo team and class teachers to provide high quality support for pupils who may have a range of additional needs. You will enjoy making a valuable difference to learning and progress, delivering targeted interventions and supporting inside and outside of the classroom. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt teaching resources to meet individual pupil abilities and be fun, creative and innovative in approach to enable our pupils to achieve their full potential. There will be a Midday Supervisor contract included in this role. You will be responsible to the Headteacher.
