Job summary

Oasis Academy Leesbrook in Oldham is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to students across year groups in a thriving secondary academy. You will work with individuals and small groups, assist in planning and delivery of activities, support learners with diverse needs, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above are required.

Qualifications

  • Has experience of working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, adaptable and committed to supporting students to achieve success.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with additional learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Promote students' independence, confidence and engagement in learning.

  • Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
