Job summary

GSL Education in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a vibrant secondary school.

You will work alongside teachers and support staff to deliver differentiated activities, promote positive behaviour, and assist pupils with SEN and EHCPs, earning £88.94–£104.84 per day depending on experience and qualifications.

This role offers local opportunities in Leicester and the chance to contribute to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience in a secondary school or with young people.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Clear enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

The role:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide high-quality support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with their learning in both small groups and one-to-one settings

• Assisting in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student engagement

• Supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and/or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

• Contributing to a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Recent experience working in a secondary school or with young people
